Town of Franklinville

Franklinville, New York is located on New York State Route 16 approximately 50 miles south of Buffalo, New York. It is nestled in the foothills of the Allegany Mountains. The town was first settled around 1806. First settled by Joseph McClure and known then as McClure Settlement. The Town of Franklinville was established in 1824 from the Town of Olean.
