On behalf of the Town of Franklinville, I welcome you to our website and to our town.
The town was settled in 1806 and established in 1824. We consist of 52 square miles located in the Ischua Valley where State Route 16 and 98 run through our town. The Village of Franklinville is located in the town. We are ideally located about one-hour south of Buffalo, New York, two hours southwest of Rochester, New York and one-half hour north of Olean, New York. The Pennsylvania border is less than an hour away.
We offer many recreational options for you to enjoy. Case Lake and the Ischua Creek offer great fishing and kayaking. There are many snowmobile trails running through the town, which is also home to the Franklinville Snowmobile Club (www.franklinvillesnowmobileclub.com). For fantastic downhill skiing, Ellicottville, New York is only 15 minutes west of our town. Franklinville is a great place for hunting big and small game. We are a horse friendly town and many events are held at the Creekside Roundup arena just north of the village (www.creekside-roundup.com).
The annual Maple Festival is held the last full weekend in April. The festival celebrates the maple syrup industry in the area and our local organizations benefit from the proceeds of the festival.
Thank you for taking the time to look at our website and I hope you can visit our small town in the future.
